Project Manager, Analyst, Professor, Consultant, Educator...

Life is complicated. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you want to do with your life. Luckily I've had a good career which has circled the IT and Learning industries, touching on several aspects including management, e-learning, higher-ed, consulting, healthcare, programming, service desks, social media, and project management.

Professionally, I'm spending most of my time today in the IT Project Management space. I've recently been working at a few U.S. government agencies leading 1) a help desk & knowledge repository strategy and 2) a long-term, multi-million dollar contact center recording & quality/learning initiative, and 3) multiple healthcare/ACA business analysis efforts. I've not only led a variety of large and small projects, but I also teach project management college courses--both graduate and undergraduate level. My professional passion is helping organizations make changes that improve performance by looking at their business and technical situations and making strategic (as well as tactical) changes to improve the business.

Personally, when not working or spending time with my family, I focus on two pastimes -- job search assistance and bar-b-que. (Yes, I know they are a bit 'divergent', but that's OK.) I volunteer a lot of my free time helping the unemployed focus on their job search skills and resumes. You can find a sample of those activities on my www.mrl8nite.com site. As for bar-b-que, yes I have my favorites, but I really enjoy trying all types - St.Louis, Caribbean, Carolina, Texas, etc. I've gathered some details on that pastime at Grill-B-Q from research I did a few years back.

Looking for a different Trayser...

Yes, it's a rather uncommon name, at least in the U.S. Yet I still get queries about my guitars (no, I don't make guitars) or my museum in Cape Code (nope, that's not me either) or my refrigerator deliveries in Madrid (wrong hemisphere) or my books (I only blog) or trucking questions in Columbia (a little to the south of me) or my photography activities (my side business is teaching). Out of courtesy to some of the popular Trayser sites, firms, or people, try these links instead:
